The almost-final product

Visualize a nice pale yellow in the kitchen and ocean blue in the bathroom - we haven't gotten that far. We are now close to finishing. As I write, the pedastal sink is being installed. YEAH! We can brush our teeth in the bathroom instead of the kitchen!

There is absolutely no way to thank my Dad and brother. They drove these cabinets and countertops down from St.Louis in a UHaul and worked ALL day and all night until the minute they left. As my Dad said, "What a vacation." We are forever grateful.

7 Years of Bliss

Adding to the excitement/stress of the past month, I have started working "part-time". It will be part-time soon, hopefully. I am going to "run" our friend Sally's stationery company out of Jacksonville while they live in Atlanta. She and Mike and family have been in town this week and we have literally been there from sun up to sun down getting this thing going.

This is their adorable old house in Riverside, across the river from us, that we have turned in to an ugly warehouse. It looks much worse in the house since these pictures were taken (b/c we have added WAY more stationery and started sending out orders...), but this is where I spend A LOT of time these days.

Woah-Wah

Next to Meme, Noah is Tucker's second most discussed member of his entourage. Aren't they precious little best friends?? Going to church = going "to Woah-Wah" and Noah's mom Robin drives a Honda minivan. There are a lot of those in the world so I hear a lot of "Woah-wah's caw" from the backseat. His car obsession is only GROWING by the day. He has MANY people's car symbols memorized and has a running commentary in the back seat. He also has scoped out every "doo-doo twack" in Jacksonville. He tells me about all those (choo-choo tracks), too. We are VERY sad that Wo-wah and Robin and Tim are moving to Chattanooga in June. We are all going to feel a serious void, but Tucker is going to be devastated.

Chuck E. Cheese & Beer....Odd Combo

As the pics below will attest, I did visit Chuck E Cheese's (to be called CEC) and they DO serve alcohol. Now, I thought it a little odd/strange/weird/redneck/hoosier(fot those in the STL) that CEC would have a liquor license. That was before I entered the said establishment. In fact, I did not believe it when a friend told me. BUT, in yet another fantastic display of Americanism you can get a "cold one" while your kids spend hours collecting tickets and running wild. This is probably reason #2 that I love America....#1 being garage sales, but that is for another post. Anyway, i will stopp blabbing and let the pictures speak.

If you can make out the labels, I believe that CEC carries both a "blush" and "chablis" on tap....now that's AMERICAN! What is better/worse...wine in a box or wine on tap? You make the call.

"Cuh-co's cwocks" = Tucker's Crocs = the small little brown Crocs
There are so many... I can't remember everything. He repeats most anything and wants to know what EVERYTHING is called. Very cute.

...of entertainment today! He has a terrible diaper rash so I am trying to keep him naked as much as possible. He, of course, loves it and spent this time emptying and restuffing my wallet. Over and over...
He walks around our house (which is filled with pictures of people we love) and points asking who everyone in the picture is. He repeats the names his little mouth will let him say and then brings the frame back several times pointing out who he remembers. I can't put in to words how adorable he is right now. He is a little sponge -- trying to take in everything and say it for himself.

Tucker ate his own poop. Yes, that's his own poop on the side of his mouth, on his hands and on his shirt. He reached in to his Diaper Genie, pulled out his last diaper and decided to taste it. It was terrible. Disgusting. And slightly amusing after we realized it couldn't hurt him.

His vocab is increasing by the hour, but I wanted to make sure I got some of his "chinese" on here. I'm almost sad he'll be talking soon - his other language is so cute. His newest "thing" is phrases like "I dunno" and "I got it" and "Here we go."

Ahh! I just remembered that this is going to be facing the wrong way -- sorry!

April 19

First of all, Happy Birthday to Heather! I don't know if she even checks this blog, but Happy 31st! While I'm here, Happy Birthday to Leland tomorrow - the big 3-0! We are all getting OLD. Kyle has been obsessed with "30 is the new 20" since February 10th... I just don't know if the rest of us are buying it.

Second, the post from earlier this week is a result of me asking Kyle to blog more. That's what you get.

Third, just had some good pictures of the man, Tuck, that I wanted to share.


I've been waiting until he could actually walk in Crocs. There is nothing cuter than a toddler in these little shoes!

These are PG-13 and I pray that Clayton and Cherie don't come on this blog and find their precious daughter without her shirt on! :) But Tuck and Izzy had to be shirtless to eat their favorite food, ketchup!

Jax News of the Weird...

Yep, that there is a Moonpie...a southern delicacy. We were taking a walk yesterday and happened across a neighbor with a Great Dane of 12 months and 150lbs, Diesel. He was not in the yard and so we inquired as to his whereabouts. We were told he was now in the back yard...and this is where it gets weird. Apparently a homeless woman has not been able to keep herself from feeding Diesel that southern delicacy pictured above. Yeah, that's right, she continues to feed Diesel Moonpies thus making him sick and sending him to the vet (which all with dogs know is never cheap). The JSO (local po-po) has been called to the scene in the last week to keep the peace, but have been rendered usless against the wiles of The Moonpie Bandit. That is our neighborhood folks...it's different, but we would never change it....actually we would but cannot afford to at this time. We welcome any comments and any other News of the Weird.

What have I been up to?

Mostly I have just been chillin'...

Then my Nan came to visit me and play with me for a week.

Then I went to Atlanta with the 'rents to visit all my friends. William and Olivia and I all hung out.

Then Lola the babysitter watched me while my Mama and Daddy went to Ben and Carol's 30-60 Birthday Soiree!

We had a shower for Rob and Grace - I can't wait to have a new friend when their baby comes.
