30.

Bill, Julie, Deena, Darin and us.
Phenomenal trip to Hilton Head without children with two of my very best friends from high school, Julie and Deena. The girls all turned 30 this year. We love that the guys all get along so incredibly well... You might notice that our husbands all look very similar. We have noticed that, too. It is sort of weird.

And Happy Birthday to Deena yesterday (7-7-07)!!! My OLDEST friend (as in friend for the longest time) and the sweetest person you've ever met. We have been true friends for 28 years. Love you Deen!

A Day in the life of Tucker...

is never complete without some good car time. I thought about how much time this child sits perched in his throne back there and wanted to make sure I recorded it with the camera. He loves it back there. Before we leave the house he always asks whether we are taking "Mama's caw or Daddio's twuck". Then he makes sure I have "Mama's keeeeeeeys." Then he sits in the back chirping away the entire ride -- mostly pointing out every car that he knows someone owns. He usually sweats. A lot. Fun times.

4th of July

We had a bunch of friends over including Isabella. She and Tucker both love the camera so they are easy to photograph!

Our sweet Goddaughter, Kathryn. Check out this precious 4th of July dress! Tucker was not in the mood to pose with her.

A girl!

We have a niece! Congrats to Betsy & Casey on the birth of Katharine Celia McCormac. She was born Thursday, June28th and is going by Celia or Cia. We are hating not being there to meet her in person, but we will hopefully get there soon.

The final hours

The last day Noah was in Jacksonville was spent playing with Tucker. They laughed. They wrestled. They did Legos. It was heart wrenching to say good-bye!

Tucker's Friends

We are so blessed to be able to raise Tucker alongside so many Godly, incredible friends. Tucker is always cute, but he is MUCH cuter when playing with one of his friends!!

Welcome Baby Anna!

We also want to welcome baby Anna Kelley Sims in to the world! Congrats to our dear friends Greg and Gina on their first child born yesterday... you can see pictures of her on their new blog. Love it!

Tucker and Tucker and Cameron

This is how Tucker spends most of his days. Over at the Post Street house - home of Sharp & Sally stationery company! For a couple weeks, he had constant entertainment with baby Cameron and big sister Tucker Sharp to play with. As you can imagine, it is quite confusing to have 2 two year olds (one boy, one girl) with the same name! Tucker Sharp RULES Tucker Ryan! She tells him where to sit and when to go and he takes it :)

The almost-final product

Visualize a nice pale yellow in the kitchen and ocean blue in the bathroom - we haven't gotten that far. We are now close to finishing. As I write, the pedastal sink is being installed. YEAH! We can brush our teeth in the bathroom instead of the kitchen!

There is absolutely no way to thank my Dad and brother. They drove these cabinets and countertops down from St.Louis in a UHaul and worked ALL day and all night until the minute they left. As my Dad said, "What a vacation." We are forever grateful.

Why we haven't blogged

Just a picture of what the chaos was like.
Tuck loves his Pop.

Hanging out with Isabella while the Daddies work.

Working woman

Adding to the excitement/stress of the past month, I have started working "part-time". It will be part-time soon, hopefully. I am going to "run" our friend Sally's stationery company out of Jacksonville while they live in Atlanta. She and Mike and family have been in town this week and we have literally been there from sun up to sun down getting this thing going.

This is their adorable old house in Riverside, across the river from us, that we have turned in to an ugly warehouse. It looks much worse in the house since these pictures were taken (b/c we have added WAY more stationery and started sending out orders...), but this is where I spend A LOT of time these days.

Woah-Wah

Next to Meme, Noah is Tucker's second most discussed member of his entourage. Aren't they precious little best friends?? Going to church = going "to Woah-Wah" and Noah's mom Robin drives a Honda minivan. There are a lot of those in the world so I hear a lot of "Woah-wah's caw" from the backseat. His car obsession is only GROWING by the day. He has MANY people's car symbols memorized and has a running commentary in the back seat. He also has scoped out every "doo-doo twack" in Jacksonville. He tells me about all those (choo-choo tracks), too. We are VERY sad that Wo-wah and Robin and Tim are moving to Chattanooga in June. We are all going to feel a serious void, but Tucker is going to be devastated.

Totally Random

THE DONALD JR. What a Champion! Tuck will have a poster of this guy.

This is a private school sticker. I cannot say whose car this is, BUT it seems like we are getting old!

Just a great picture....this face is one of the million reasons that we love him.

Chuck E. Cheese & Beer....Odd Combo

As the pics below will attest, I did visit Chuck E Cheese's (to be called CEC) and they DO serve alcohol. Now, I thought it a little odd/strange/weird/redneck/hoosier(fot those in the STL) that CEC would have a liquor license. That was before I entered the said establishment. In fact, I did not believe it when a friend told me. BUT, in yet another fantastic display of Americanism you can get a "cold one" while your kids spend hours collecting tickets and running wild. This is probably reason #2 that I love America....#1 being garage sales, but that is for another post. Anyway, i will stopp blabbing and let the pictures speak.

The menu...I had to have proof

If you can make out the labels, I believe that CEC carries both a "blush" and "chablis" on tap....now that's AMERICAN! What is better/worse...wine in a box or wine on tap? You make the call.
