Academia
Tucker began his first week of preschool last week. It has been some of his cutest moments yet. We started talking it up Monday night and he quickly picked up that he was going to start "kool" (school). He was so excited that night he couldn't sleep. We could hear him in his bed talking about "kool" and "paying" and who knows what else. He stayed up late and didn't sleep well from all the excitement. In the morning we headed to the Waffle House. Kyle says this is our new tradition (every tradition of Kyle's finds it's way to the Waffle House.) We ate "catcakes" and got even more pumped. Then over the school for the first day of school picture by the Southside Methodist sign... we don't have it yet because it is still on the camera. No digital anymore! As he walked in to the building he was walking 2 feet in front of me, but leaning backward from the weight of his one pound lunch! :) He felt so cool, though, because all the other kids had backpacks on. When we got to the room, Miss Janelle cracked the door open and Tucker nearly ran in and did not look back. As usual, I was left at the door feeling like he doesn't care whether or not I exist -- better than the drama and crying, I guess! When I picked him up he had all sorts of adventures to tell me about. The "payground." The "choo-choos", etc. He was beaming. We can't believe how more he is talking in a week. And he sings all around the house. Cute. Pictures to follow!
